Applejuice is a mysterious pony, and highly reclusive in nature. He stays quiet in most situations, and will only ever interject in a situation if his loved ones are in danger. His miserable nature hides a tender side for the ones he loves to see only. His passion is apple bucking with his mother and helping to further his family’s farm. Because of his bat pony heritage, he is under a lot of scrutiny by the people around him that are too scared of him to learn more about him. Ponies choose to steer clear of him when he goes out in public.


He resides in Ponyville with his girlfriend Kiev and mother Applejack, staying on the farm to help and alleviate the bat infestation currently bogging down the farm. He’s able to speak to the bats and reason with them to go elsewhere, really impressing local animal-lover Fluttershy.


Applejuice never met his father and knows very little about him, only hearing stories of him from his embarrassed mother. He was the product of a mysterious one night stand with a bat pony on Fright Night who entranced his mother with his dashing good looks, claiming that Applejuice got this trait from him. She never heard from her mysterious temporary lover again and never attempted to contact him about her son, feeling too embarrassed to reveal him.
