Also known as Lover's Telephone.
Why? Because they're connected by a string. A single wire to bond between ears and mouth into the hearts. Within far distance, outside normal voice, an intimate message can be sent. Hence, why it is called that. Or, more archaic name, Lover's Strings.
Or it's just a simple filly game and let's see how far we can talk and hear each other voices. For the nostalgia, of course.
