Emerald says he wants revenge on his step parents.

"Whoa, I didn't think you the type to be like that!" Joyride says laughing, "Kitty got claws! I'm curious to know how you think you'd do that though."

Emerald looks down at his hooves. He isn't quite sure of that to be honest.

"Yeah." Joyride says, reading his body language, "They are a pretty powerful family, especially with the war and stuff going on. It's not like you can go to any authorities either. They'd likely just haul you back to your parents."

Emerald looks up at Joyride a bit sheepishly and says, "Well… Do you think that I… Could learn magic? I mean, is it even possible?"

"Yes, it is. If you are talking about pony magic than it'll be a little bit more difficult since you lack a horn, but if we find you an appropriate focus you'll be able to cast magic in… Well, in some time. There are other types of magics that you could learn easier, of course."

"C-could you teach me?" Emerald says blushing.

"Mmm?" Joyride says, looking at him with a half-cocked smile, "That'd take up a lot of my time, lil' perv. What would you be willing to do for me?"
