Emerald turns towards the couple, and then reaches into the hedge and attempts to force himself through. He hears the rips and tears of his dress, as well as the snapping and rustling of twigs, but he makes it across.

He stands up, and after fixing his dress and hair leans close to the bush and listens. He hears the stomping of Buff's hooves again.

"Found you!" the minotaur cries.

There are immediate screams from the pair on the other side, followed by swift apologies from the guard. Emerald hears he quickly run back the other direction.

After a few seconds Emerald hears the minotaur say confused, "Err, Sapphire? Sapphire, where'd you go?"
