Emerald sneaks away and heads up top, carefully poking his head above the staircase to see what is going on. The deck of the ship is mostly empty, save for Joyride standing near the railing and firing spells.

The enemy ship has been pulled close. There are ropes tied to the Gypsy wind leading to grappling hooks on the other boat. From this and the cries of battle, sound of clashing metal, and cracks and smoke of gunpowder, Emerald guesses that the crew has boarded the other ship and attempted battle.

Joyride looks like she is concentrating pretty hard, and she still looks a little peeved, though hopefully not at him.
