Emerald puts the key and the book back in the sack and slings it around his shoulder. He'll open it later, maybe. He'll see.

Emerald wants to explore a little more, but decides to see how much time he has left.

Emerald walks over to the nearby windows and peers out.

There is still light, but the sun is low over the trees and casting long, black shadows that make the place appear even more eerie.
