Max pounds down the rest of his cup and you trot off and fill his cup first and then grab your own.

When you get back you look to Max and ask."How long is it before I'm taken to Canterlot to die?"

Max's eye grow wide and he asks, "Is Patwrite already talking about going to bigger arenas!?"

"No I just heard some things from the other gladiators."

"Oh thank goodness."

"How many other ponies did you train before me?"

A somber look washes over Max's face and he chugs the rest of his cup before answering. "About thirteen…" You get max another cup and sit back down.

"Mmm. Well, I do want to thank you for how nice you've been to me."

Max swallows a lump and he says, "it's really not necessary. you're already doing more than is expected."

"Maximilian, did you like what you saw in the arena today? Did you like watching me."

"You preformed very well today and you certainly fond an… inventive way dealing with that pegasus…"

Max laughs a little uneasily and takes another drink, "You asked about Patwrite buying that pegasus earlier right? Um, may I ask why you wanted that?"
