Emerald decides to go and speak with Joyride.

Stepping out of the church, Emerald looks around for his mentor. He wonders if maybe she is down with Sepulcher still, and starts to walk towards the tower.

Emerald sees her sitting near the trapdoor, reading a book. Near her feet is Lady Elegance, seemingly sleeping. It's kind of hard to tell, but he doesn't see those scary, pinprick eyes she usually has visible anywhere.

They must have come out here recently, because they weren't here when he walked out the door the first time to go out to the church.

Emerald wonders what he should say. He doesn't want Joyride taking the book, but he does want her help.
