Mimi idolizes her father, but her parents divorced when she was 4. His divorce with Rarity felt like a betrayal against her, it's not like she hates any of her parents, but she will hate everypony that dare to replace Fashion Plate, that's why she had troubles accepting Ivory or Spike.
