Emerald asks about Hope's dad. He mentions that they don't seem to get along very well now.

"Eh, Blood is okay. He is certainly passionate about his work. That's how we met initially. You know he deals in military weaponry right? Well I may have helped him with some R&D in the past."

Emerald blushes slightly, and asks if she did anything with him… Or with Hope when she was younger.

"Yes and no, respectively." Joyride says, causing Emerald to breath a sigh of relief, "Only started on Hope recently."

Emerald asks where the name Hopey Dope came from.

"Because it rhymes and she is a bit of a dope. You must have noticed. Oh come now, don't look so insulted. It's one of her cuter traits I think." Joyride says, seeing the look on Emerald's face.
