The carnival is in town and everyone is talking about how they can't wait for it to open. This scene takes place only a day or so after Mako's and Bubble's first "date" so nothing is official yet, but the relationship is still blossoming.
Mako is hanging out in Margarite's bar, chilling a little bit before going in to go to work. Margarite spies Bubble Lee walking by and attempts to hail her down to come join them.
Bubble notices the two sitting in the bar and before she could responds, a mysterious pegasus, all tall, dark and handsome, comes up behind her and wraps her arms around her affectionately, speaking just out of ears reach. Bubble spins around and squeals in delight, returning the hug enthusiastically.
Mako tenses slightly, conflicted by the elaborate display of affection between the two. Margarite shoots a glance at her friends, "Welllll then… You want another drink?"
Out of ears reach, Bubble and the pegasus continue to chat. The pegasus rubs the back of his head and appears the ask Bubble a question. She blushes from hoof to horn-tip in response, idly playing with her braid and giving a shy nod.
As the pegasus pulls some slips of paper from his pocket, probably tickets to the carnival, and handed it to the flustered mare, Mako rised from his seat, finishing the rest of his drink. He turns and walks out, giving a mumble about how he has to get back to work. Margarite protests, saying how he should at least stay to say hi to Bubble… but he was already out of ears reach.
The tiny mare snatches up the recently emptied glass with a huff, "Stupid fish face.."
