Trying a very different approach – did away with all the striations. I like it much better this way. Makes her look thicker. Body’s a tad more upright this time, too, and I gave her a neck (though it’s not obvious from this angle). Still got some work to do, I think, but I made some good progress here.

Update: Now 50% less wingless!
