Emerald, who had passed out yesterday due to his punishment, wakes up on the couch in the living room of Joyride's house. He doesn't see anyone else, but he hears conversation in the next room, as well as the smell of pancakes.

Emerald rubs his rump. It's not as sore as he thought it would be. He remembers Joyride maybe mentioning something about that, but he had other things on his mind at that moment.

The colt walks into the kitchen and sees Ruby and Joyride sitting at the table in front of a huge stack of pancakes. Joyride is nursing a cup of coffee and barely touching any food, while conversely Ruby wolfs down the ones on her plate and grabs for more.

Emerald says good morning to the two and sits at the table and takes a few pancakes himself.

They are quite good.
