Emerald unlatches the locks and opens Pip's book.

She comes out immediately and after looking around says,

"The heck are we?"

Emerald tells her what is going on, and then before Pip can say anything else asks her what she knows about his amulet.

Pip lazily floats higher and surveys her surroundings.

"But that's no fun. What do I get out of it?"

Emerald frowns. It's back to this again. I guess that comes with the territory when you consort with demons. Maybe Joyride really did give him a chance to practice diabolism without meaning too.

Emerald draws the symbol he saw back when he was still in the Jewel Family manor.

Pip barely looks at it and grins, but doesn't say anything.
