You get back to your apartment and toss yourself on the couch. Your muzzle scrunches as you press your wing into the back of the couch, which you fool yourself into believing that it's alleviating some of the pain.
Brandy yells at you, "File! Are you okay!?"
"I"m Fine." you growl back, "You know that these things happen."
You get up from the couch and get out your drugs. You unscrew to=he top off of the fabuloso and dip the needle of a fresh syringe into the liquid.You draw out a little more than usual and set the syringe down on the table so you can tie a cloth around your leg. you wait of a bit as the veins begin to bulge. You find yourself hesitating fora moment.before picking up the syringe, you hate needles… You guide the tip of the needle to a vein that is aching for junk and shut your eyes. It's just a little pin-prick to drive away the pain. you shutter as you push it in… It hurts… you draw the plunger back a bit to mix some of your blood in the syringe before you push the plunger all the way in, sending a certain coldness up your foreleg.
Your breathing stutters as you feel the cold numbness begin to flood you entire body. You pull out the needle and remove the cloth.
"File?"
"I'm fine Brandy."
You begin to forget about you wing. You wanted to buy some music today, but you should probably come down from the high you are about to reach first.
"Hey Brandy. C-could you hum me a song? Something soft, I want to just forget for a moment. everything.
"Okay sir!"
Brandy begins to hum you a peacefull tune as you begin to dance to it. You're almost certain that you lack any grace at the moment but, you're alone with Brandy. She takes good care of you, like your mom. You miss her very much, but this world finds a way to eat the good things in it.making it a little difficult to hold on sometimes.
While you're remembering some of the good times you hear your door bell… AND you're Still high!
