Second part of the "Miracle at St. Luna's" story by fjinkie/cdent
Sunset kept calling over and over with no reply from her. Something crawled up Sunset's spine, she knew Twilight wasn't okay. She had to see her for herself.

It was just after school, parents were usually still working at this time. Twilight was home alone. Sunset knew she couldn't let her stay home alone, not with her mindset. It was a recipe for disaster.

Sunset gathered her items and headed for her streetbike and calmly reassured herself that Twilight's phone was likely dead. Nodding her head to shrug off the bad vibes, Sunset hit the throttle and headed towards the Sparkle household.

Shortly arriving, the front door was slightly ajar. Very unlike Twilight. She was always making sure things were secure in this home. Sunset perked her ears up when she heard Spike barking relentlessly upstairs. Sunset slowly creaked the front door and entered the atrium and followed the source of the barking. Spike heard Sunset approaching.

"S-sunset! Twilight! Help!"

Sunset looked up at Twilight's room's door and she kicked it open, and what she saw was going to haunt her for life. Twilight, her closest friend, hanging onto life by the tiniest thread. Blood was everywhere, her arms were deeply lacerated and her neck, worse so. Sunset didn't waste time, she grabbed Twilight's car keys and carried Twilight to her backseat and she gently rested her unconscious friend. Sunset turned the engine over and raced for St. Luna's General Hospital, a mile or so down the street.

She parked the car on the curb, ignoring the valet attendant. This was more important. Twilight was more important. Sunset, using the last bit of her strength, cradled the teen in her arms and she made a break for the Emergency Room doors. The staff inside were suddenly called to alert, medical response aides and EMTs immediately came to Sunset's aide and took Twilight on a stretcher and took her into an operation room for immediate operation to seal up her wounds. Sunset followed closely behind the doctors, tears racing down her face as she overheard the doctors and personnel. "H.R. at 40 and dropping. Admit her immediately, get me clean sutures and gauze, we gotta close her up NOW."
