Ever since her misadventures with the Changelings, she’s always celebrating her victorious rescue mission, perhaps a little too much. All those parties, all those feasts, and all those complimentary meals from every restaurant she walks into was bound to take its toll. Having now ballooned to five times her original size, the former little pony is huge. Not just fat. Huge!
And even though her friends didn’t mind how whale-sized Trixie became, days like today can be just infuriating. Starlight may be feeling slow and worn-out from all the anger she’s hiding away, but at least she hasn’t reached Trixie’s level of sluggishness. Every “last place” she was thought of when she teleported the map which, luckily for her, happened to be places that offered her free food. And it certainly didn’t help that Trixie now waddles as fast as a tortoise.
But now, Starlight nearly cried tears of joy when she saw that Trixie’s next destination was a jewelry shop. It may or may not have the map, but at least it was a change of pace after so many greasy-smelling restaurants. She quickly walked in, but Trixie had to force her belly and hips through the door. Though she struggled to get through, Trixie seems to be paying more attention to her cinnamon nuts. Starlight rolls her eyes and runs up to the jeweler pony behind the counter.
“Ah, hello, fillies,” said the older pony, “uh, how can I help you? Oh, are those cinnamon nuts?”
Trixie continues to munch as she answers, “Mmm, yes.” Trixie’s voice seemed to have gotten slightly deeper ever since her weight skyrocketed “I got them from the cart outside. They're delicious. Do you want some?”
“Have you seen a big table?” Starlight interrupted, “Magical map on it, sometimes glowing cutie marks shoot out?”
Trixie snorted as she chuckles, “Yeah, I cast a pretty amazing spell that transported it to the last place I was thinking of. I thought maybe it was some delicious buffet, but I might have been thinking about how I'd treat myself to a nice brooch instead.”
“Ah, well, no huge table here,” the jeweler answered, “uh, are you still interested in that brooch?”
“No! We don't have time for this!” Starlight shouted.
“Ooh, you know, what else I might have been thinking of?” Trixie said. She drops the last of the cinnamon nuts into her mouth. Still chewing, she says, “I was really craving apples. Let’s go to Sweet Apple Acres!”
Starlight just looked at her in disbelief. Yes, she was mad. But, she also amazed by how much food a pony could be stuffed with. She looked down at Trixie's soft and fleshy body, and could swear she gained a few inches since this morning. In just two hours, she’d already eaten enough to feed a family of four for a week.
With deep and tired sigh, Starlight moves her anger into her bottle and continues with their journey.
