The Storm King wasn't always known as a fearsome conqueror. Creatures like him all start out innocent, and so did The Storm King. The Storm King was born in a yeti clan, in which he was abandoned almost immediately by his family, due to his… ahem… disorders. The yeti cub was sent down a river to drown, but instead landed in a lake in Everfree Forest, where he lived for a day. Until he was attacked by Timber Wolves, whom tried to eat him. Luckily, by was passing by a pony named Butterfly Catcher, who saved the cub from a gruesome fate. She took the cub, whom she named Leroy, into her family, where she taught him normal things, and gave him all he needed except true love and care. Leroy was unfortunately convinced that Butterfly Catcher truly cared for him, not aware that she really thought of him more as a porcelain doll rather than a friend. One day, Butterfly Catcher decided to give Leroy to her father's and brother's "Beast Show", to get money. This broke Leroy's fragile heart, shattering it. Leroy spent years in a cramped up cage, all alone, seeing Butterfly Catcher's fake smile, and having everypony poke hooves at him everyday. All that changed when Grogar appeared to the broken yeti, promising him success if he gave him his body and mind. Leroy, desperate to get out of living Tartarus, took Grogar's deal, and escaped his cage. He eventually found a lost island on which he built his castle, his army, and renamed himself, The Storm King, because he's an everlasting storm in life.
