Description:

Here a vector of Petunia while she get a gift for St. Nicholas' Day. And look how happy she is. The base was a vector of Apple Bloom from the episode "Campfire Tales".

It is a typical tradition in a lot regions of germany (like mine, the rhineland) that children place a boot on the evening of the 5th of december (the evening before St. Nicholas Day) in front of the door so that Saint Nicholas (in germany called Nikolaus) can fill them with candies, small presents and other nice stuff. But only when the child was good. When the child was not good, he/she gets a birch rod from the helper of Saint Nicholas. In my region (and a lot of other regions of germany), the helper is called Knecht Ruprecht and is an elder man with black or white beard and brown cloak. Another popular helpers from Saint Nicholas are demons called Krampus in the alpine regions (like Austria) and the Zwarte Piet in the Netherlands. Petunia was of course a good filly and so, she got candy instead of a birch rod.
So, do you guys also celebrate St. Nicholas Day and if yes, how?
