Description:

Recently, my parents and I went to go see Jack Black's newest film The House With A Clock In Its Walls, made by the same producer behind Supernatural (Eric Kripke), and while it's not an A+ film, I still love it to bits!
So on our way home, I had the idea to try to ponify the main characters.

From the left we have Mrs. Florence Zimmerman, Jonathan Barnavelt, and Louis Barnavelt!

No cutie marks for these 3, I kinda rushed it towards the end, but I'm rather pleased with how things turned out. Eeeexcept for the facial hair on Jonathan. It definitely needs some work.
I'm starting to try my hand at doing backgrounds a bit more, hopefully as time goes on both backgrounds and sketches will get better and I won't need bases anymore.

Fun facts:
Mrs. Zimmerman is a purple pony because purple is her favorite color. I also tried to replicate the jacket and tie she wears in the promo poster.
Jonathan's facial hair is composed of 15+ brush strokes and it still looks awful.
Louis' tie took about 10 minutes to draw from a reference, completely from scratch.
The gates, porches, hill, and night sky (aside from the moon) were also made from scratch. I used the linework layer for the gates and "porches".
The fog is copied and tweaked from Autumn Sweets, a batpony adoptable I made.
