This is my first attempt at 3d modeling, I'm using blender and have been at it for about 2 weeks. There were 4 previous attempts that didn't make it, although I still have the files if anyone is interested in looking at my progress from total noob to this model here.

So the first reason I am making these models is both to teach myself and because I am frankly pissed that the only mlp models we seem have are the derpy SFM ones. I will release my original blender files when I finish or while I'm working on it if anyone is interested in trying along with me. The second reason is that I while the SFM models aren't bad on a screen… looking at them in VR is actually a bit horrifying. So on that note I will be going with a more realistic head to body proportion on these models.

Well let me know if this looks good or if I should go back to the drawing board, I am at a state now where I feel I could start on the actual body and not hate myself as I look at the head. NOTE: While this one is sfw the end product probably won't be but I'll split it into two versions when I get there. Might be a while as I'm new and doing this every few days.
