A parody project organized by Magpiepony, and a project I had the honor to collaborate in, and provide some art! I did 3 backgrounds this time around, the insides (kitchen and livingroom) and outside of the ginger bread house! I really think I was pretty lazy with those drawings, not in quality, but I just took too long to finish them (Threre was a lot going on, but I could have been able to fi ish them sooner), but I still managed to finish it two days before the deadline, so, I wanted to do as I did for slumber jack and do a extra "poster". It isn't anything Mag asked me to do, so it isn't "official", bit that does not stop me from simply loving this.
About six hours were spent on this in a span of three days. I tried to record all the process, but I did lose some footage here and there, and I edited out some of the rendering on the wings, because it is so dreadfully boring to render and to watch, so you're not missing anything. I really do think that my skill level has improved since the last one, specially my patience, I suppose. I tend to rush things in the end as I start getting impatient and bored, and this time arround, I only "rushed" the wings which is a good improvement. Also worked a lot on the values on this pic, which is something I very rarely do honestly. Normally I would just go for what looks best, but I actually paid attention to contrast this time, and I think it was totally worth it. I also remembered to constantly flip the canvas! I never flip the canvas, and if I do it, is only once, and I forget to flip it back, but as you can see in the video, multiple times the canvas is flipped, and that counts to my personal improving moments this year.
School is A LOT this year. I'm currently studying in a Federal school, which means better school, but harder work to get done. As I don't even consider the possibility of giving up, my time goes to studying, instead of drawing. As a comparison, on 2017, I knitted 3 scarves during class. And only during class. The work load was so little, and the "doing nothing" time so vast, that I barely ever did any homework at home. I can't really do the same now, and I'm being asked to do a lot, and I will do 'em. Now I'll also start theater club, and maybe yoga, so at least my mental health will for sure be okay. But regarding my drawing, it will probably fall to weekends and holidays. I'm sorry, but I won't be giving up my education. Never.
Anyways, don't worry, when I can post something, I will
