At the very beginning, I was intending to let the dragon be characterized exactly as he is in the show — silent until the very end.

Then I realized this would be a lot more fun.

Twilight Sparkle: Um… Hi.
Dragon: HI.
Twilight Sparkle: Eep! I’m, uh, Twilight Sparkle. From Ponyville. And, uh, we need you to stop smoking.
Dragon: IS THAT SO.
Twilight Sparkle: Stop snoring smoke, I mean! In this area! You’re covering the skies in black smog!
Dragon: I FAIL TO SEE HOW THAT IS MY PROBLEM.
Twilight Sparkle: You’re ruining the lives of everypony in Equestria! Don’t you care a little bit?
Dragon: HMM. PONIES. WEAK, LITTLE PONIES… NOPE.
SFX: (CRASH!)
