These are my responses to the 2020 prompts for the Equestria Daily annual Artist Training Grounds! There's supposed to be a "Newbie" to the front but I removed it just because. :P I had a lot of trouble with this prompt, as I had to make the narrative follow from how I ended prompt 8, and I had ended that page with the description of the Sirens. I tried making the Sirens, or the loss of friends, to be Sunset's greatest fear, but neither of those worked out. Sirens were powerful but their magic is now broken; at that time Sunset were not on very friendly terms with the rest of the Rainbooms; and furthermore, I had other things in mind for Sunset's greatest fear. Thus I switched over to the alternative prompt, Ponies hanging by a thread, and made this a description of how fragile their friendship is. Even then I had to redo the arguing scene multiple times; Rainbow in particular was very difficult. To make things easier I made them larger, but in doing so I lost space to place Applejack and Pinkie Pie, who were also arguing in the original composition. Still, I am satisfied with what I managed to salvage from the process. This is the first time I tried drawing Rarity's hairstyle to be more "realistic", so that it is more in line with how I draw other characters' hair; I was never happy with how my rendition of Rarity made her hair look like a wig made of paper.
