Anyway so Flurry was born with an incredible amount of magic, and while it was able to be controlled for a while, as she grew older her powers increased exponentially. She started having fits of explosive magic like when she was an infant, and this led to a lot of destruction of property and danger to those around her. Her parents tried to find every solution, but at the end the only thing that could protect everyone was to take Flurry's magic away for good.

She was in one of her magic fits when the spell was cast, so she fought it as hard as she could. This led to her horn being broken as the magic was pulled out of it. Her parents felt awful, but to them it was a side effect of the inevitable, and ultimately for the greater good.

After her magic was taken, Flurry became more reclusive and hated being seen out in public. Tempest was brought in to try and show her that unicorns with broken horns are an okay thing, but Flurry refused to talk to her. She resented her parents for "ruining" her, and turned to her older sister for comfort

**in my AU Cozy Glow was not turned to stone and was instead sent to Cadence and Shining Armour to be taught about love and kindness and all that jazz. So she is the adoptive older sister of Flurry Heart
