Only bad people live to see
Their likeness set in stone
What does that make me?

So I think at some point a lot of people (or just me) figured that getting “turned to stone” is just the Hasbro approved method of getting rid of villains without killing them (or so they can be brought back later and reformed in Discord's case)

What I like to do with those weird little story quirks that happen in MLP for whatever reason is PLAY WITH THEM!!!!

So. Here’s some Starlight concept art, of Starlight looking up at her “villain statue” so to speak. In my verse, the stone statues of the villains aren’t their actual bodies incased in stone but simply monuments. These monuments exist throughout Equestria as “educational opportunities”, used to teach foals right from wrong through the mistakes of the past. But what defines a “mistake”? One pony’s terrorist is another’s revolutionary. How does such a cut and dry, good vs evil view of morality affect a population? How will Starlight’s legacy be remembered, and will her affect on history be positive? How much control did she ever really have over how other ponies saw her and her ideals?

These are the things Starlight ponders as she looks up at herself, standing proudly and defiantly, cracks starting to appear across her stone face.

that's my little story anyway. i'm working and conceptualizing on more stuff on starlight and her ideology/the history of the movement she represents….of anti-cutiemarkism. stay tuned for comrade starlight because i love her and I won't stop so don't bother trying to make me. waste of time
