The 19 year old son of a supply officer and a admin clerk, Chameleon was one of the few Unikrainians to grow up with a family that never saw too much violence. His home town of Poneomaisk was generally far away enough from any border conflicts to be involved. So when his parents were notified of his natural skill with a rifle and was sent to sniper school they were distraught.

During his mandatory enlistment he obtained the rank of Corporal but was busted down in rank due to misconduct. His latest incident that got him busted down to a Private First Class was when he was using his only magical ability of camouflage to peep on the mares in the female dormitory of the military academy.

Now he serves in the 10th Mountain Division, 2nd Brigade, 4th Battaion, 31st Infantry Regiment in Copper Jacket's squad as the designated marksman and head smartass.
