Like any other starting drummer who was inspired by a shit metal drummer like Lars Ulrich or that guy from Slipknot, Pinkie believes that faster is better and doesn't know the basics like what an odd time signature or polyrhythm is. I used to be the same way until I listened to drummers like Bill Bruford and learned that playing complex beats with odd time signatures (even if they're slow ones) proves you more talent than that random guy who tries to play the most basic beat (hi-hat + kick, hi-hat + snare, repeat x100) at 220 BPM.
