It was a beautiful day on Mt. Aris on this spring morning. Harmonizing Heights was alive with all kinds of sensations to stimulate the senses, including the lush green trees, the sweet-smelling flora, and the warm, gentle breeze. The birds (and a few hippogriffs) were especially alive with song, but little Seaweed Swirl didn’t seem to hear them as she toddled along with her parents.

Her father, Terramar, watched her toddle with pride.

“I’ve been waiting to bring her up here, ever since she started walking on land. Now she can see the other half of her home after spending so long in the water!”

“Hey, the water’s pretty great on its own,” Her mother, Scootaloo, quipped back. “She does seem to be having fun up here, though.”

She took notice of her toddler wandering away from them.

“Hey Seaweed! C’mere!”

Seaweed didn’t seem to hear her, as she kept toddling along as if nothing happened.

“Seaweed? Come here, little one! Get away from that ledge!” Terramar called out with increasing worry.

“Seaweed? Seaweed!”

Scootaloo grew frustrated with her unresponsiveness.

“SEAWEED SWIRL!”

The filly suddenly perked up and turned towards them.

“For Celestia’s sake, listen to me!” Scootaloo shouted.

“Uh, Scoots,” Terramar said hesitantly. “I don’t think she can.”
