Description:

Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Ever since "Over the Barrel," the ponies of Appleloosa and the Buffalo Tribe have become great neighbors, and the best of friends. :D (Big Grin) To this day, the Appleloosans would continue to grow apples, and the Buffalo can stampede through the orchards which were once the Buffalo's stameding grounds, and have some apples on their ritualistic journeys. And both would gather together for parties, attend rodeos and carnvials, and watch a little buckball at the new Appleloosan Buckball Stadium. Sometimes, I wonder if the agile Buffalo cow, Little Strongheart, would also visit Appleloosa to spend some time with Applejack's cousin, Braeburn, but we'll never know. ;) (Wink) It is also likely that they would all celebrate a holiday very much like our Thanksgiving, being thankful of the friendship they now share with each other. The peace between the Buffalo Tribe and the Appleloosans sets a perfect example of what the White Americans should've done with their relationship with the Native Americans. No war, no bloodshed, no corruption, no genocide (and ethnocide), no evil discrimination. But understanding, love, and friendship. Heart

It is such a shame that we never got to have more episodes featuring the Buffalos as major characters. They would reappear as cameos, but nothing more. Even Chief Thunderhooves and Little Strongheart never got to appear in season 8. If they did appear in the show more often, then there might have been a sort of Thanksgiving episode, or whatever the ponies might call it. And if there were such an episode that would've been really easy for me to make something for that autumn holiday.

Speaking of which, after Gameloft posted a Thanksgiving post on Facebook, I saw Little Strongheart with several Apple ponies, and that gave me the inspiration I needed to create this year's Thanksgiving project. However, I had to spend all weekend working on them since I didn't make vectors of some of the characters I had in mind: Little Strongheart, Braeburn, and Sheriff Silverstar; I already had Chief Thunderhooves vector from years ago. So this is overdue, and isn't really considered a Thanksgiving pic. This would be a little more Thanksgiving-themed.

If you've noticed I changed Little Strongheart's eyes. Their based on the design given to her in "The Last Problem." But then I discovered that this wasn't a recent re-design. There are several other sources that reveal that her eyelashes were changed, from a My Little Pony character guide published in the UK, a Meet the Characters magazine published before then, and the oldest source being "My Little Pony: The Elements of Harmony Vol. I," which was published in June 4, 2013. Despite some difficulties I faced, I am so glad I finally got to make Little Strongheart's vector. :D (Big Grin) I have a very good feeling that you'll be seeing more of her. And I would also like to add that since I was working on her vector, Native Americans have become another subject to think about again.

Well, that's all. Hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving and a Native American Heritage Day this year. I am thankful for your support and appreciation for my art, and I am thankful that we got to see the Buffalo Tribe again before the show ended.
