~Birth name is Lillian Posey (After her mother, Rosemary Posey), she changed it to Fluttershy after her cutie mark was earned.

~Prefers to be single and to this day has not dated anyone. She also has no children.

~She is a veterinarian, whom was taught and recruited by Dr. Fauna, the lead veterinarian of Ponyville whom is now retired. Surprisingly, Fluttershy knows a lot of knowledge about many MANY creatures, big or small, mythical or non-mythical. She even knows how to properly tend to rarely seen pony species such as Kirin, Umbrums, Hippogriffs, Mountaineers (a type of Mountain Pony from the north), etc. Because of this broad amount of knowledge- she was actually able to save Twilight's son from a future of malnourishment or even death, since not a lot is known about Umbrums.

~She tends to animals at her home, and once patched up, she lets them recover to their fullest in her Animal Sanctuary.

~Even though she is a pony, an herbivorous mammal, she understands the full importance of meat for carnivores- and the cycle in which needs to pass for every animal to properly survive. She doesn't mind cutting up and handling meat to feed to recovering carnivorous animals, even though most ponies hate even the thought of eating or handling meat.

~She has a manticore as a pet, from which she raised since he was a cub. She named him Scorpan, after the beast of legends.
