In a world where the SecurU corporation has taken over Equestria, everyone is required by law to be restrained 24/7 for their own safety and the safety of others… but hairless ape Anon is exempt from the rules and free to walk around as he pleases. One of his favorite pastimes is to talk to friends on their lunch breaks, such as Pokey Pierce, and arrange a get-together at the local bar after Pokey gets off work. Of course, since Pokey can't use his arms or legs, Anon has to carry him there, but hey, what's some mild inconvenience to spending time with friends?

Well, rain, for one thing. While the properties of Pokey's sack make him weigh almost nothing, it's still a long jog from work to the bar. But all is forgotten once they're inside and sipping their drinks, though Anon is still surprised that ponies can drink without using their hands. But while Pokey has magic and could easily pick the cup up that way, he still likes to practice drinking without it; after all, you never know when you're going to have a magic-inhibitor ring put over your horn.
