Description:

The prophecy of a foal with a pure heart came to light, all ponies, no matter where they were, knew of they're soon to be new ruler. However, as nobody expected, the birth of a second foal brought worry upon Star Swirl the Bearded, for the prophecy only mentioned one filly. Despite his worries, the mother of these two fillies convinced the great wizards to take both of them and raise them to both rule. So, Star Swirl did as told, and brought up the fillies until it was time to train.

Celestia was adored by her subjects as soon as her foal form was revealed to the ponies, her soft features and glimmering eyes brought hope and ease to the kingdom she would soon learn to lead. The same could not be said for Luna. Among them , were the Moon Ponies, a species of ponies that were feared and discriminated against for their terrifying features and the savage ways of their ancestors. When the ponies looked upon Luna, the pony that was supposed to guide them, a wave of murmurs broke through the crowd. They didn't trust, but they did fear, and with fear brought anger and resentfulness. From that day forward, Luna stayed hidden in her sisters shadow, only seeking out those who were like her to offer guidance and wisdom. She would visit her fellow Moon Ponies in dreams, for the Sun Ponies would think it was a nightmare if she were to appear. Each and every time she would visit, it would be the same issue. Whether it was a Sun Pony calling a filly a bad name, or ponies hiding their children from an innocent colt, Luna would always tell them, "Do not fret, our time will come, and with it, it will bring peace and glory."

Luna, in the end, was finally was able to live up to her promise. The Nightmare would whisper and murmur in her ear, until the darkness completely overtook her, and she turned into the file Nightmare Moon. All across Equestria, day turned to night, and Moon Ponies of all kind began riot, screaming that they're rightful princess had come a last. Luna had kept her promise, and thought destruction was not the prophecy way that she wanted to do things, the Nightmare had taken over just, and with it, brought the thirst for Sun blood, especially that of her sisters. Where Nightmare Moon tread, ponies fell, where she looked, ponies cowered. She was truly once of the most horrifying beings Equestria had ever seen, and that is also what brought Tia trouble with banishing her. For the first time in her life, Celestia was afraid of her sister, not the kind of fear that you would get from facing a bear, but the kind that would not allow you to speak, and that was exactly what Nightmare Moon embodied. Fear. She was the pure embodiment of everyone's fears, someone that everyone was afraid of.

It took a lot for Celestia to finally banish her, but at the end of it all, when the elements awakened from their dormant state, Nightmare Moon managed to mumble these words, "I will be back, Celestia, and with me I will bring Eternal Night and your death!"

A flash of light forced Tia to shut her eyes, and once all had gone dark again, she looked up to the moon to see the shape of a unicorn.

Nothing else was said when the guards told Celestia to prepare for battle, but it was all she needed to know as she threw on her armour and gear, expecting to meet a large dragon for, or the Sirens. However, no suit of solid armour could prepare her for when she threw open the chamber doors and looked on ahead in front of her. The most horrifying yet enchanting being she had ever laid eyes upon was sitting on her now darkened thrown, eyes glowing and hair flowing behind her. Absolute fear had overcome and bested her, and as she failed to move a muscle, the being spoke.

"Celestia, dear sister." Her voice, dark and echoed, spoke from across the room. "I've waited so long for this moment."

Celestia managed to break her mouth out of shock as the only words that could talk from her mouth were filed with fear. "Luna?" She spoke. "Little sister, what has happened? What have you become?"

Nightmare Moon rose from her throne, dark shadows swirling around her hooves. "I am fear."

Celestia could not bring herself to even move back as her sister continue her slow gate, with a now angrier and darker aurora.

"I am hope." Her flowing hair stretched on and on, reaching up to ceiling.

"I am Nightmare Moon!"
