Backstory: Anthony Tunes was adopted by the Rice family about a year after he was born. His parents were infertile, which meant that they were unable to have children of their own, so they had no choice but to adopt. But that didn't mean they gave up, and while they were aiming for their own child, they still raised Anthony as best as they could. During the time when Anthony was their only child, his mother introduced him to music while his father introduced him to cooking, and Anthony grew to like both of these things. Anthony didn't become a brother until one day, when a meteor-like object struck in the fields near his home. His parents thought that something bad had happened, so they went over to the rice fields to see what it was. There, they saw a pink Alicorn filly, only an infant, glowing and wailing while being alone in the crater that was caused by the crash. Knowing that their time to have a child of their own by magical conception had finally arrived, Anthony's parents brought the filly in and named her "Alyssa." Anthony was a bit troubled by the news at first, but it took some time for him to realize how much he loved his little sister. He also helped Alyssa earn her cutie mark after introducing her to music. Not long after Alyssa earned her cutie mark, both she and Anthony were introduced to their adopted little brother named Black Thunder.

Soon, the three siblings met Juno, Zeyanna, Serenity, and Julia at different times and different experiences. What they all had in common, however, was that they knew about the relationship of Prince Flaring Shield and Princess Blossom, forming the group called "Alyssa Rice and Friends," on April 14th. Anthony and Black Thunder first knew of the royal couple when Alyssa told them about a dream she had about them.

Alyssa Rice and Friends were later sent to the Jungle and Sky Kingdoms with Prince Flaring Shield and Princess Blossom, when both kingdoms were both cursed by darkness. While there, Anthony was the one who helped rewrite the anthem for both kingdoms in hopes that it would unite them together. With the help of Alyssa Rice and Friends, Prince Flaring Shield and Princess Blossom were able the two kingdoms from Lord Draven by defeating him and becoming co-rulers of these kingdoms.

When they're not on their adventures, Anthony enjoys writing songs and playing the guitar. Since he's also the oldest of the group, he likes to give good advice to his younger siblings and friends.
