Erik is confused but did what Dracula told him to do.

Later Dracula is suspicious of the event; knowing how he acted Dracula thinks Erik might do something to him in his sleep.

But he plans that if Erik opens the door, Dracula will kill him, even if he is powerless at the moment.

Up next, we're about to see Dracula's life, and why he is the way he is in mindset, which caused him to act the way he does, I won't say much now.
