I recently came to the conclusion that I'm aromantic, which has explained a fair bit of oddities in my life, but as a writer, I've always appreciated romances with a strong platonic foundation.

DM: The signal goes out that the ceremony is ready to begin. The orchestra and Fluttershy's bird choir begin playing the wedding march. The grand double doors open, and the flower fillies spread petals before Princess Cadance as she gracefully walks down the carpeted aisle.
Shining Armor: … Hoo boy, not gonna cry, not gonna cry…
Twilight Sparkle: You're not getting actually married today, you know.
Shining Armor: I can still be happy our characters are getting married, can't I?
Twilight Sparkle: Heh! How'd you get so lucky to find each other, anyway?
Shining Armor: Oh, I ask myself that question just about every day.
Princess Cadance: Awww! Love you too!
Rarity: Not gonna cry, not gonna cry…!
Applejack: An' some people are just in love with love itself, Ah guess.
