Here we have Fireflight, Cloudy Mist (Shatter's OG name), and Clear Skies. And in Cloudy's hooves, is her cat, Felix, who was a kitten at the time of this picture being taken.

This takes place when Equestria was somewhat peaceful and the war has just started. So that meant that the ponies were still in peace and Shatter's parents were still alive. But after this, things would fall from there on out, causing Shatter to fall into the villain hellhole.

And yes, I have the stereotypical shitty villain backstory, but Shatter is only one of them.
