Moon Ponies are a breed of ponies that live under the embrace of Princess Luna. These ponies usually sleep from the start of the day until the sun is close to setting, where they have about two hours to mingle with the Sun Ponies before the Sun Ponies turn in for the night. It is fairly easy to tell a Sun Pony apart from a Moon Pony. The biggest differences are the horns, wings, and eyes. While Sun Ponies have straight horns, Moon Ponies have curved horns like the waning moon. While Pegasi have regular feathered wings, Bat Ponies have curved, sturdy bat wings. Most importantly, you can always tell a Sun and Moon pony apart by their eyes. Moon Ponies will always have cat like slits, while Sun Ponies have full and round irises. Even if you can't see the eyes, the teeth of a Moon Ponies will be rather sharp and curved because of the fish fixed in their diets.


Twilight Sparkle

Background:

Twilight Sparkle was born a meek unicorn in an upper class neighborhood in Canterlot. As a small filly, she pushed away the idea of having friends and only consulted in the company of her parents and siblings. She spent most of her time reading books, practicing spells too high-leveled for her, and playing with her babysitter, Cadence. When she was accepted in Princess Celestia's school of magic, however, she was thrusted into at least considering making friends. As she grew, she finally gave into the idea, and seeing as she was old enough to live on her own, she was sent to Ponyville.

Twilight thought that a big part of her life had to be filled by becoming one of the most powerful unicorns known to ponykind. After the defeat of Nightmare Moon, however, she realizes that happiness doesn’t come from power, but from the friendships you develop with other ponies. After realizing this, with the help of her friends, she goes on to defeat countless villains and learn countless lessons, thus earning her wings and title as the Princess of Friendship.

Twilight currently resides in her castle in Ponyville, serving as The Princess of Friendship and helping ponies all across Equestria.

-Twilight knows for a fact that Twilight Velvet favors Shining Armour and Spike over her, and grew distant from her mother because of it

Applejack

Background:

Applejack was born a strong Moon Pony on a large farm in Ponyville. Her whole life, she grew up helping her siblings and granny around the farm, always bucking apples from the moment she could walk, not that she bucked any apples down at that age. Some days, Applejack feels sad and deprived, maybe even hopeless, but is always kept going by the very thing that lays on her head, the same hat that her daddy used to wear on his. As long as she kept that hat, she believed that everything would be okay, even when things got bad.

At the arrival of a strange moonicorn, Applejack finds the opportunity for a change of pace in her life. She finds herself wanting to be friends with this seemingly lonely unicorn, who immediately tried to avoid the Earth mare at first, but grew to enjoy her company. After the defeat of Nightmare Moon, Applejack realizes that the change of pace she needed in her life was not just her family, but actual friends. Soon after, Applejack is gifted the Element of Honesty.

Applejack currently resides on Sweet Apple Acres with her family. She works herself to the bone to provide for her family, and will do anything for her friends.

Fun Facts:

-Applejack currently suffers with Depression, she only had the courage to seek help after telling her friends about her problems

-Applejack has the best singing voice out of all the Mane 6

-There isn’t a day that goes by that Applejack doesn’t think about her parents

-Applejack, like her siblings and parents, has major anger issues. She once had to be held back from bucking Diamond Tiara in the face

-In her free time, Applejack goes down into the basement and tries to pinpoint the way her parents died

Fluttershy

Residence: Cottage, outside of Ponyville
Nicknames: Flutters; Shy-Shy; Shay

Background:

Fluttershy was born a small filly in Cloudsdale surrounded by her bat pony family. As a filly, she tried her very hardest to make friends, but was either ignored or brushed away. Living in a mostly Pegasi/ Sun Pony city, she was often made fun of because of her appearance. At the arrival of Rainbow Dash, who stood up for her, she was happy to make her first friend. However, during a race, Fluttershy was knocked down to the ground where the flightless creatures resided. There were investigations and searches, but Fluttershy found herself not wanting to return to the clouds above. Rainbow Dash would only find her years later when in their late teens when she moves to Ponyville. The two cry together, and Fluttershy eventually reunites with her family.

When an outspoken moonicorn comes to town, Fluttershy finds herself, strangely, wanting to get to know her better, especially the cute little dragon on her back. After the defeat of Nightmare Moon, Fluttershy realizes that coming out of her shell wouldn’t be the worst thing in the world, thus being gifted the Element of Kindness.

Fun Facts:

-Fluttershy has had multiple scars from taming wild creatures, long faded, but still a bit prominent

-She once had a little filly crush on Rainbow Dash

-Fluttershy never went back to Cloudsdale because of the endless bullying.

-Her wings are thinner than an averages Bst Ponies, making it hard to fly, but easier to glide.
