Tears still ran down her cheeks, but Celestia’s expression softened, her tightly wound body finally relaxing with a shuddering sigh. Her hoof grabbed the slowly rising blanket and pulled it tighter around her. Luna sighed as well, her own tears of grief and pain escaping her eyes. Already, she could feel the Nightmares pull again, she didn’t have much more than a few moments. But it was enough to softly whisper, “goodnight, Celestia.”
