Nine Worlds? Midgard? What's all of this about?

You ask Discord about the Nine Worlds.

Discord: "As I'm sure you already know, this world you live in is Midgard, the realm of Arcane. Or what's left of it, anyway…

Around here, you'll find Muspelheim, the realm of Fire; Vanaheim, the realm of Air; Niflheim, the realm of Ice; Jotunheim, the realm of Earth; Alfheim, the realm of Light; and Svartalfheim, the realm of Darkness.

Finally, above everything else, there is Asgard, the pretentious realm of Harmony; and below is my beautiful home, Helheim, the realm of Chaos."

Moonflower: "Oooh! Hey, do you think you can help us get to the tree? You got magic and stuff!"

Discord: "Well, I suppose I could, but where would be the fun in that? After all, life is about the journey, not the destination, isn't it?

Oh, but won't you look at the time! Now then, I'm afraid I have obligations calling. Do say hello to Ratatosk for me, won't you? Toodles for now!"

In a flash, Discord turns the room back to normal, and vanishes, leaving Celestia and her cardboard crown untouched.

Celestia: "Discord‼ (sigh)… Well, I suppose this could have gone worse. Shall I accompany you back to the entrance?"
