Blood Edge dashes forward, and thrusts the end of his sword into the lowest part of the black tendril, stabbing it for two damage. The tendril thrashes about wildly in response, before snatching Whirlpool off the ground, and ensnaring her.

Whirlpool: "Oh no, help! It's doing lewd things to me!"

That's not… whatever. As her allies rush into battle, Opaline takes a few steps back to stay at a safe distance from the enemy, and gets ready to cast a spell.

But then, right before the tentacle can spurt its evil seed deep inside of Whirlpool's—

Dawn Break: "Sea Swirl, you can't narrate the enemy's actions when I'm the game master. Also, it's a tendril, not a tentacle."

Sea Swirl: "Fine, fine…"

Struggling, Whirlpool manages to free herself from the tendril's grasp, and land safely on her hooves.

Next to her, Tailkicker swings her electrified shortword at her foe, slashing and shocking it for a total of four damage. The tendril falls lifelessly to the ground, and turns to dust, leaving four small magic orbs behind, which the heroes then absorb…

Dawn Break: "You have defeated the black tendril. Everypony gains two experience points. Congratulations, Opaline and Whirlpool, you are now level six.

Opaline, your maximum health increases to eight, your maximum magic increases to eleven, and you learn the spell Cure Self, which uses three magic points to remove a negative condition from yourself."

Sweet Biscuit: "Not bad."

Dawn Break: "Whirlpool, your maximum health increases to sixteen, your maximum magic increases to eight, and you learn the spell Arc Light, which uses five magic points to instantly shock your target for two damage, and all foes around it for an additional plus two damage per jump."

Sea Swirl: "Awesome!"

Dawn Break: "Combat has now ended."
