Moonflower: "Aww, it's okay! Maybe she was shy."

Determined to salvage the situation, you decide to rummage through your saddlebags for some tools and paper, and begin to write an apology letter to the seadog.

You use Quill Pen and Pot of Black Ink to craft your Blank Scroll into Apology Letter.

Once you are done, however, you find that the sea breeze threatens to blow your endeavors away.

Moonflower: "Hmm… ooh, I know! Ya still got some cake left, right? Maybe use a piece to weight down the paper, and make a cool gift. Nopony can say no to cake!"

You drop Apology Letter, and Slice of Apple & Chocolate Swirl Cake.

Moonflower: "Heehee! Now, we jus' gotta check back later."

The road north leads to the tavern, and the observatory.
The road east leads to the marketplace, and the Trading Post headquarters.
The road south leads to the south district, which includes Aqua Skies and Marine Wave's house, the barbershop, the bathhouse, the chemist, the enchanter, the farrier, the windmill, and the beach area.
