That was a good story, but didn't really help us. Does she know any stories about sirens? Not the usual "sirens are bad" kind of stories to scare little foals, but something about sirens living in harmony with ponies or maybe something about siren villages?

You ask the historian about ponies' history with sirens.

Historian: "Well, short of a sailor's salted tale, I'm afraid that what little history we have of them is less than favourable. But to understand why that is, let us continue from where we left off, shall we?

The Philosopher's Stone had just been shattered, yet it was far from destroyed. On the contrary; with shards scattered all across the land, its corruption quickly reached every corner of an unsuspecting Equestria.

Any creature who laid hoof, claw, or even fin on one of these shards would soon be turned into a power-hungry monster, much like the unicorns before them.

Unfortunately, that is how the first encounter with sirens was recorded. Three of them rose from the sea and, bearing familiar stones, laid waste to a small coastal village.

Well-known tales recount how they, along with many others, were defeated by a band of heroes known today as the Pillars of Old Equestria, though these heroes would later sacrifice themselves to vanquish a greater threat.

In their absence, however, evil continued to spread. And so, a new order was founded to contain it: the Paladins of Dawn. These ponies, tasked with retrieving the shards of the Philosopher's Stone, are the only others known to have faced sirens.

Alas, to ensure the safety of ponykind, the rest of their knowledge is lost to history."

Furia Storm: "Hmph… but wait, how did they know where to look?"

Historian: "Ah, an excellent question, my dear, and one we might have an answer to after all these years!

You see, while the Paladins of Dawn were sworn to secrecy, testimonies to their battles describe all accounts of their victories to be followed by the return of the sun after a long night.

Because of this, we believe that the shards would unnaturally shroud the area in storm clouds, which would then disperse once the magic contained."
