Oleander was not as close-minded or conservative as the other unicorns. Ever since she was eight, she had a premonition of the coming darkness. She tried to warn the others of the danger that’s coming, only to be alienated and ostracized by the other unicorns.

When she acquired the Unicornomicon, she made a pact with the demon, FHTNG, or Fred as Oleander casually calls him. She would be able to study the dark contents of the book, in hopes of finding the answers of her premonition.

For years she had studied the book, away from the eyes of the Order of Light. As their student, it is strictly forbidden to learn the dark arts, but she knew better. There was a reason she inherited the Unicornomicon.

Gradually, her coat turned dark as a sign of using dark magic, it wasn’t noticed until just a few years later, the unicorns around began to spread around rumors of Oleander practicing dark arts. They mocked and shunned her, which turned Oleander to being more reclusive.

Nine years after she read the book, she was discovered. The High Priestess banished her from the Order. Though forever shamed, Oleander is still determined to use all that she learnt for good.

When she heard of the Predators returning, she was shocked to hear that the Order refused to cooperate with the Council of Ungulates to banish the evil. Where instead, the Order would insist on keeping to themselves. The young unicorn was outraged by their decision, how can the keeper of one of the Prophet’s Key could do this?

That night, Oleander has made a bold decision, she stole the key and left the Woodlands to save the world. The Order did not take this lightly, and would hunt her down, seeing her as a threat to their way of life.

It hurts Oleander that she is wanted by the unicorns that raised her, but what mattered most, was that she’s doing the right thing.
