No one knew where Paprika came from. For the people of the Highlands, she was a complete enigma. All they knew of her was that she always wants to give a hug and make everyone she encounters smile. As jarring as she may come across, perhaps she was what the mundane land needs.

The Highlands was not one would consider a vacation spot, especially the mountain range that spanned the continent. The Highlands was once the home of a mighty empire, but now reduced to nothing but a poor, miserable nation. No one what happened to the great civilization, as the written records were missing, or non-existent.

Regardless, that didn’t deter Paprika from trying to make the land a better place. She was the complete opposite of what one would expect from a land of sadness and hopelessness.

Where ever there’s gloom, she’s there to bring joy.
