Shy, introverted, yet surprisingly overprotective, Orion stands as the "next in line" following Luna. Frankly, both parents didn't care too much about where he went in his future, he wasn't a planned child after all. In a turn of events, discord actually carried Orion, instead of Luna. Just some chaos magic and bOOM discords pregnant.

At a very young age, Orion was told the story of Nightmare Moon, (good going discord) to which he began to fear that whenever he turned off his lights, she would be standing in the shadows, waiting to jump out and attack him. This helped him learn how to fly faster. How? Well so that when he turned off the lights, he could fly as fast as he could under the covers and hide. It would get to the point of if he had a bad enough nightmare, he would traverse the hallways of the castle, to his Mothers room, since she knew she wasn't there, she often just sat on her bed, since the room smelled like lavender. (I mean truth be told, his did too but it wasn't as strong.) It helped to calm his nerves a bit. Discord has a room for him in the Castle, but he rarely stays there. Normally Orion would sit and watch the wind blow the curtains to the balcony until his mother walked back through those doors. He would often get in trouble for staying up too late. It wasn't really his fault though was it?

As he grew older, his horns starting to grow, Luna still hadn't told Orion that the tales were true, but would never happen again. Because she harnessed that power. She feared that if she told him this, he would figure out that "Oh I can do that too" and create a monster on accident.

He never really accepted the title of "The Prince of the Moon" he honestly hated that name. He would just be preferred to be called by his name. Unlike Roy, he wasn't able to really capture the feeling of being the next in line.

Many of the royal guards fear him, even though he's grown and matured, when he was younger, he would attack them. If they were to even look at Luna, he would charge them, biting and scratching until Luna or another guard pried him off. This was due to his clingy self. He always feared that something would happen to her. Many of the guards have scars from him, and he apologizes everyday he sees those guards.

When he was finally introduced to Roy, he made it his lifelong gOAL to protect her. She may have been older, but he felt she was more vulnerable. He needed to know where she was going, where she'd be, when she planned on being back, the list goes on. She grew to hate the clingy bit on him, but knew it was something she had to deal with. He would often follow her in town, not letting her be alone. She did have a disguise, so she didn't get recognized, and she often changed it so Orion couldn't follow her.

Relationships:

He cherishes his parents alot. Maybe because their well known? Maybe because he's the only one they pay attention to? neither of these. He cherishes them because he feels like no matter what kind of mess he got himself into or caused, they didn't give up on him. He was a troubling child to say the least, but they both managed to get through with him.

He absolutely loves his older cousin, Royal, and if anything were to happen to her, hes coming for your kneecaps first. She cannot leave without him going, or at least, of her knowledge.

Now Celestia isn't one of his favourite ponies, but he still loves his aunt. She was the one who brought up the sun everyday after all, and he prefers day over night. He felt like she was his saviour, in a sense. So why is she not one of his favourite ponies? She told him the legend of Nightmare Moon, and how it was actually Luna. He didn't believe her. He stood up for his mother. (Awe he a mamas boi) He refused to believe this, thinking she was just trying to turn him against Luna.
