MLP Tarot — The Moon The first tarot card of the major arcana I did, Princess Luna as the Moon. This seems like the plainly obvious because of her cutie mark and while that does make her, of course, fit the name she also matches the meaning of the tarot.
The moon in the upright position signals thing done unconsciously, being deceived by illusion in the dark, and instincts which can guide you through the dark by the moon’s light.
In the reversed position it represents confusion, fear, and misunderstanding which is how Nightmare Moon was born but it’s often the receding ends of anxieties that the reversed moon signals, so not all is bad.
Often the moon is depicted as two defined paths that can lead to either our civilized selves or the untamed feral nature that exists in all. Two sides of the same coin.
