Dawn and Eri don't usually change their appearance, they're pretty comfortable with who they are and what they are. Grace on the other hand doesn't show herself in public without her disguise. Most ponies think that she ran away or worse, even her parents are unaware of what she's up these days. She cut ties with practically all of her old friends and changed her identity. For most she became nothing more than an old memory.
