You may think you see
Who I really am
But you'll never know me
Every day
It's as if I play a part
Now I see
If I wear a mask
I can fool the world
But I cannot fool my heart
Who is that girl I see
Staring straight back at me
Why is my reflection
someone I don't know?
Somehow I cannot hide
Who I am, though I've tried
When will my reflection show
who I am inside?
When will my reflection show
who I am inside?
Reflection from Disney's Mulan (I used both the single and the film version's lyrics of this)

Why is Sugar a Pegasus in this drawing? To answer that, this takes place before she became an Alicorn princess. During that time, when she met her friends, who would become the Awesome 6, Sugar feared that they wouldn't accept her for who she was, which was becoming a comedian, since it seemed that all they cared for was Sugar having a crush on Kai in order for her to be in their group since they all have when he was their mentor.
I know Disney's Mulan (The animated film, of course) isn't accurate in terms of depicting Chinese culture, but its story and message was what made it beloved. Also, here's a fun fact: Mulan was one of the reasons how I got into MLP: FiM (Particularly this video. I recommend reading this journal of mine of how I got into FiM too if you're interested.
Yes, to anyone wondering, I would be lying if I said this wasn't inspired by this cover of Reflection.
I hope enjoy, and more art will be coming soon!
