I wanted to do this for a while and recently I didn't have crazy amount of energy, so I wanted to do something simple. So I decided to finally draw it. I also decided to do something I did for a past drawing, base them on old gen ponies (except for one, I'll go into it later why is that).

Again, just like last time, big shout out to the website Strawberry Reef for the super useful catalog of old gen ponies (by the way the site still being updated which is super amazing).



So here are them, with some short headcanons:

Peachy Sweet Pie: Also known just as Peachy Pie or Granny Pie. Originally known as Peachy Sweet, she became part of the Pie family by marring Feldspar Granite. She's Pinkie's grandmother.Even in her old age she is an upbeat pony. Pinkie was told she is a lot like her grandma.

Design based on Peachy Pie from G3.

Feldspar Granite Pie: Also known just as Feldspar Granite. He's Pinkie's grandfather. Short-spoken, serious and a proud rock farmer. He lives with his wife on a big rock farm far south of Equestria.

We already had his name in the show, so not based on old gen pony. His colors based on the colors of an actual feldspar granite stone.

Starbeam: Twilight's and Shining's uncle. Nightlight's older brother. He was a high ranking guard and the reason why Shining wanted to become a guard too. He also was the trainer the young cadets. He was part of many battles. Because of a severe injury, he had to retire. From the two, he is the closest to Shining.

Design based on Starbeam from G3. One thing that was changed that the original pony has yellow eyes (I guess a yellow/pink gradient) , and the stars in the cutie mark are also yellow.



By the way, Peachy and Feldspar's mane colors were originally were more colorful, but I grayed them out, 'cos, well, they are old ponies. It fits them more. Starbeam naturally has silver mane.



Here's a fun fact:

Originally the third pony wasn't Pinkie's grandfather, but Babs's older sister (whose design and name I also based on an old gen pony), but than I found out she was shown and named in the comics. I'm behind on reading them, so I didn't know about it.X'D

So I cut her out and drew my idea of Feldspar. Not fully fit my original idea of this drawing, which was to design characters who were unnamed, but mentioned in the show, whose design and name is based on an old gen pony, but oh well.



Also, other fact, after making this I also found out there's a filly character in the show who's already called Peachy Pie. But because they look different (cutie mark and all) and in my headcanon her original name is Peachy Sweet and only became Peachy Pie, because she married Feldspar, I thought it's probably fine. Also, if it's possible in our word for multiple people having the same name, it's probably not rare in the world of MLP either. Also, there's like 500+ characters in the show with names, and I need some slack orz
